Masked Sphinx (Melissa Budasz) studied fine art painting at Camberwell and Norwich Art Schools (1997) and lives and works in Kent. She has curated and exhibited in several large-scale projects, events, and exhibitions including the Uniqlo Tate Lates, Tate Modern (2018), a solo exhibition at Conway Hall, London (2017), and in group shows that include the Gerald Moore Gallery, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Guys Hospital and the Stephen Lawrence Centre. She ran South London Women Artists (2013-2016) and during this time she was the founder and editor of ArtVerve, a journal on women’s art (2014-2017).
